Easter

Mom and Jane came down during Easter.  We had our friends Kevin & Kayla over on Friday night.  Miles hunted for eggs on Sunday.  We had a great weekend.  

Zilker Park

This is one of Miles favorite places, Zilker Park which has a train that goes along Townlake and overlooks downtown.  We have been there ALOT and he always has to sit in the front.  He always has a posse of little boys by the time the ride is over.  One of the pics is him running in front of the bikers trying to get to the train (one of his new friends his running after him.)

Fredricksburg

We took a day trip to Fredricksburg which is about 1.5 hour away from Austin.  Great romantic great-away (without kids).  We went to an amazing Bakery called Rather Bakery (Rebecca Rather- who has become famous for her recipe books owns it.) Found some darling Texas style cottages that inspired us. I took a pic of the things that Miles requires for his survival juice, raisins, a train and commercial trader truck & trailer magazine and Brandon a peanutbutter/chocolate homemade brownie. 

Lake Hills Church

We visited Lake Hills Church and decided to go to an family event (boots&hats)  on Sunday night and Miles was thrilled.  He has been wanting to be a cowboy and have a lasso.  It is a great church with a great vision for the community you should  attend if you are in the Austin area.  He got to jump on a moonbounce, pet a pony, sit in a firetruck, work an lasso, ride a stick horse and say "Yee-haw!"

Marcy and Bryan were down for SXSW during Spring Break and performed at the Red Gorilla Festival amongst other performances and did amazing.  We are very proud of them!  Marcy has written 2 new songs and they rock check her music at www.marcypriest.com.  They were asked to play at her cousin's place called Blue Rock (www.bluerocktexas.com)during an open house they were having and we were so glad we got to go!  The place is so thoughtful in every way and any artist would want to stay there forever.  Our friend Bryce Bandy (www.squintstudios.com) a photographer/designer took these photos.  

Spring Break

Grandma/Grandpa/Niece (Brooke)/Nephew (Zack) came to visit us during springbreak.  We had a blast!  They are growing up so fast!  We enjoyed Barton Springs, San Marcos and Townlake.  We even got to lay out?  Go figure. 

Swim Lessons

We have been really blessed to be able to let Miles take swim lessons with www.infantswim.com.  It is driven to teach children how to survive in the water if they were to fall in.  He has learned so much from this.  If anyone has a pool or lives by the water I would recommend it for kids 6 months- 6 years. 

Here we are

We have been in Austin, Texas for 3 months now!  Austin had some rain the beginning of March and I caught some photos of Miles in front of our apartment.  He LOVES riding his bike.  I stopped when I saw reflection of the trees in a pool of water- artsy moment.
